Hi saw you on the telly this evening , very moved by your story about your son . I've admired your cartoons for a long time .
You've come a long way since our discussions about who was the the best the Stones or the Beatles . We both had hair way back in our Greenfield school days .

Bravo Tony for your brill cartoons in Private Eye. But the inspirational story on BBC Breakfast of your love and support for your courageous son in his recovery moved me. Amazing testimony of a parent's love for their child.

Thank you Tony for the very moving talk at Exeter Phoenix. You have no idea how much I can relate to your experiences through cute drawings about your dad. My grandmother who I can describe almost as my second mother has Alzheimer's and the journey is being very hard. It it ironic how those that once took care of us once end up depending on us. 'Take care, son' what a nice last phrase for you to keep in mind. I believe that even though it looks are if they were drifting apart, deep inside they are always there, just hidden under that horrible fog of dementia that does not let us see them but from time to time it dissipates and they are able to wish us well. Your talk brought tears to my eyes and although I really wanted to speak to you I had to head back home but I am already looking for your book online. Thank you Tony.

Was a HUGE fan of Round The Bend as a kid and I think it was the only childrens show my mum loved too.
So glad to find them again, the so bad its great crude jokes still hold up (well I guess toilet humour never dies).
I don't think I have laughed this much in years and have a whole new appreciation for it as an adult.

I discovered an episode of the TV series Round the Bend which I watched as a kid on ITV just recently. Hilarious! Thanks for the memories.
